Adj Prof Lim Tock Han

Adj Prof Lim Tock Han is the immediate past director of NHG Eye Institute, Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He was fellowship trained in Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Mn, USA. Among his clinical and research interests are Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and Polypoidal Choroidal Vasculopathy (PCV). He has pioneered the use of Confocal Scanning Laser Indocyanine Angiography (CSLO-ICGA) in the region for the diagnosis and treatment of PCV, culminating in the setting up of the region's first PCV imaging reading center, Fundus Imaging Reading Centre (FIRC) and the first prospective randomized controlled trial of PCV, EVEREST Trial (by Novartis)

Adj Prof Lim is an adjunct Professor in Ophthalmology at the National University of Singapore, Adjunct Associate Professor at Nanyang Technological University and an Adjunct Professor at the Universiti Kebangsaan, Malaysia. Adj Prof Lim is currently the Assistant CEO (Education and Research) of National Healthcare Group, Singapore.

A/Prof Colin Tan
Senior Consultant, Head of Research and Head of Fundus Image Reading Center,
NHG Eye Institute @ Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH)

 

A/Prof Colin Tan is the Head of the Fundus Image Reading Center, Deputy Head of Vitreoretina and Head of Research at the NHG Eye Institute. He is also an Associate Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Senior Consultant ophthalmologist from NHG Eye Institute, Tan Tock Seng Hospital. 

A/Prof Tan manages patients with retinal conditions such as polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy, age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and other retinal vascular diseases. He has over 170 publications in international journals and has presented his research at various international conference. In addition to an active clinical practice and research, A/Prof Tan also has a keen interest in education and has received education awards such as the Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Top Ten Teachers Award from Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Mr Ethan Priel
Director, Ophthalmology Department at MOR Institute, Israel

Ethan Priel is the Founder and Director of the Ophthalmology Department at the MOR Institute in Israel, a leading State-of-the-Art Diagnostic and Treatment Center. 

Mr Priel has devoted most of his professional career to the study, development and perfection of Ophthalmic Imaging techniques, together with his longstanding commitment to research and education, both in published articles and through his involvement in international Ophthalmic Photographers' Society. 

Throughout his career, Mr Priel has been active in Ophthalmic Imaging Technology's evolution from film-based manual fundus cameras, to simultaneous high-speed Angiography, OCT and OCT-A systems constantly embracing and improving its applications. 

Of special interest in both daily practice and published work has been the Multi-Modal Imaging concept, which offers unparalleled advantages by combining comprehensive, complimentary information from several, often simultaneous imaging modalities, when evaluating and diagnosing ophthalmic pathologies. 

In addition to his clinical work, Mr Priel has conducted numerous advanced Ophthalmic Imaging seminars and workshops worldwide.

Prof Giovanni Staurenghi
Professor of Ophthalmology, University of Milan

Prof Giovanni is currently Professor of Ophthalmology, Chair of the University Eye Clinic and Director of the University Eye Clinic Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences "Luigi Sacco". He was awarded his degree at the University of Pavia, Italy, in 1986 and completed his residency at the University of Milan in 1990.

He was a research fellow at the Schepens Eye Research Institute in Boston, Massachusetts, USA from 1991 to 1992 and Visiting Scientist at the same institute from 1992 to 1993. He became Associate Professor in 1999 and was promoted to full professor in 2007. 

He was awarded with the Coscas medal, and give name lectures such as Junius Kuhnt lecture and the Heinrich Muller lecture. He is Silver medal fellow of ARVO, the Macula Society Member since 2004, the Ophthalmic Photographers' Society since 2006, and the AAO since 2007.
